Multiroller Traction Drives are the ideal choice for engineering
applications that require smooth, quiet, backlash-free power
transmission. Nasvytrac Drives offer lower vibration
and noise than comparable gear units, at speed and power levels far beyond those practically
attainable with gearing or direct drive motor technology. What's
more, Nasvytrac drives operate with virtually zero backlash and extremely low torque
ripple. They are as torsionally stiff as equivalent gear units.
Nasvytrac Drives are fixed-ratio mechanical
drives. They transmit power through the traction forces on metal
rollers that are arranged an loaded in a planetary configuration. A torque responsive roller
loading mechanism adjusts roller normal load to applied torque, to
maximize drive efficiency and life.
Speed reducing or speed increasing Nasvytrac Drives are available in
ratios from 1.5:1 to over 200:1 with horsepower ratings from single digits
to several hundred. The Drives can be designed to meet the specific
life, ratio, and speed requirements of the application.
