in which space is at a premium, Nastec's Roller-Gear drives combine the advantages of traction drives
with the torque enhancing features of gears.
Nasvytrac Roller-Gear drives transmit power through
rollers and gears functioning in parallel. The gears increase the drive's
torque capacity, while the rollers remove backlash from the system and minimize noise,
gear cogging, and torque ripple. Moreover, the rollers allow the achievement
of high speed increasing or reducing ratios through the use of multiple planet rows.
