| Nastec, Inc. is a Cleveland, Ohio based designer
and manufacturer of specialty transmissions and bearings. During the past twenty years, we have
established ourselves as one of the world's technical leaders in the design, fabrication, and
manufacture of traction drives, roller-gear drives, and wave bearings.
Nastec was founded by Dr. Algirdis Nasvytis in 1979,
to develop and market Dr. Nasvytis' highly acclaimed "Nasvytrac" Multiroller traction drive
technology. The Company developed an international reputation under the
technical leadership of Dr. Nasvytis and, subsequently, William J. Anderson
a former Chief of the Bearings Branch at NASA's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.
Most recently, Dr. Florin DiMofte, a reknown engineering scientist and inventor, and the
originator of wave bearing technology, has brought his world class skills to our team.
The 21st century, promises to bring many new mechanical challenges that will be met by exciting
developments in mechanical design, computing technology, and materials science. At Nastec,
we will continue to use our internationally known leadership in rolling element
technology to develop innovative solutions to our young century's most pressing mechanical problems.
